New Pressure Sensor for Measurement in Harsh Environments

Recently, TE Connectivity introduced the 86BC, a new headerless, small-profile pressure sensor.

According to the company, the sensor has a 16 mm diameter package, making it ideal for O-ring mounting or OEM applications where compatibility with corrosive media is required.

The 86BC has a wide compensated temperature range of minus 20 degrees Celsius up to 85 degrees, and an extended operating temperature of minus 40 degrees Celsius to 105 degrees Celsius.

“Typical span is 100 mV, with a minimum of 75 mV and a maximum of 150 mV and a plus or minus one percent interchangeable span when the gain set resistor is used to adjust an external differential amplifier,” according to TE Connectivity.

The sensor is housed in a rugged 316L stainless steel, and provides accuracy and stability in demanding measurement environments.
