Galaxy S6 Survives Drop Test from Space

The Galaxy S6 went through the ultimate drop test last month when it was dropped from more than 120,000 feet from space.

The phone was enclosed in a bamboo case designed by Slickwraps, Inc., and then mounted onto a box that was attached to a high-altitude balloon. It was launched into the stratosphere and reached a maximum altitude of 122,264 feet before the balloon burst and the phone fell.

The phone was reportedly exposed to temperatures as low as -65 degrees Fahrenheit during the test.  Despite falling at over 110 mph, the phone survived the impact when it landed.
