Author and Industry Expert Offers HALT/HASS Course

Author Harry Schwab will share his expertise with 16 professionals on HALT/HASS implementation Oct. 14 at IEST’s Training Center.

“In addition to receiving CEUs, professionals who travel to attend will learn about repetitive shock tables, electrodynamic shakers, thermal chambers, fixturing, vibration environments, performing and implementing HALT, and developing and running HASS,” according to IEST. Attendees also have the opportunity to gain valuable insight as Schwab discusses lessons he has learned while working as an engineer for more than 40 years.

Those who attend the course will receive a copy of IEST-RP-PR003.1: HALT/HASS. It includes information on testing, generic examples of tests, the differences between standard testing equipment and equipment used for highly accelerated testing, fixturing considerations, alternative approaches and additional environments.
